Inovedis Treats First U.S. Patients with Innovative SINEFIX Rotator Cuff Repair System

Medical technology start-up Inovedis has successfully treated its first U.S. patients with its SINEFIX Rotator Cuff Repair System, marking a key milestone for the company. Orthopaedic surgeon Dr. Brian Cohen led the launch, introducing a system that emphasizes not just biomechanical stability but also blood flow to enhance tendon-to-bone healing in rotator cuff repairs.

Traditional suture anchors have shown limited success in improving recovery for over 500,000 U.S. patients each year, according to Dr. Stefan Welte, Inovedis co-founder and inventor of SINEFIX. The SINEFIX implant is designed to balance compression and protect blood flow, offering a new approach to rotator cuff repair. Dr. Cohen highlighted its potential to set a new standard in the field, improving patient outcomes through both structural and biological healing.
